Funny Faces in the Bath

Delaney is my little bath fish. She loves to take a bath almost everyday, but then fakes me out by saying she has to go potty, thus getting out of the bath without getting washed, and then telling me she doesn't have to go potty anymore. She's sneaky!

This is my sweet child all wrapped up like a little candy. He is the easiest baby in the world and I am so grateful for him.

Caleb's Symhony Night

Caleb had his first real symphony at Logan High School. For those who do not know or remember, he plays the full size bass. He is pretty good too. This is his first year playing and already plays the 2nd year stuff.

One Last Birthday Post

I had to do this last post to show what an amazing friend we have. Shelly put this cake together at the last minute for Delaneys birthday party and it is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Shelly!!

Laneys Royal Ball

This is Delaneys birthday party, which was a royal ball with a sit down dinner and dancing, sort of.

Our friend Shelly gave us this awesome idea to make a ballroom floor with 12x12 cardstock. It turned out so cute.

This is Delaneys 3rd Birthday, and she decided that she needed to celebrate naked, obviously in honor of her original birthday suit.

Tell me that she isn't interested in boys anatomy yet. Oy!

I honestly do not remember. Guys aren't the only ones who forget stuff.

We both do. Chris and I share the duty of starting and switching the loads, and then Chris folds his own laundry and I do the rest of the folding.

#10 Who Sleeps On The Right Side Of The Bed?

Looking at the bed, I am on the right, but in the bed Chris is. Funny thing, everyone in my original family sleeps on the right side if you are looking at the bed. All six of us, my mom and her spouse, my dad and his spouse, myself, both of my brothers, and my sister. Weird, huh?!

ps. On occasion Chris sleeps on the couch being that his snoring and popping are horrendous.

I pay our family bills, Chris does the business stuff. Either way, it is mighty depressing.

Give Me A....

This is an adorable picture of Chris and Delaney together. Right before I took it Delaney said the cutest thing. She has been into saying cheerleading things for some reason. So she says "Give me a Y" and I said "Y" and she says "because!". I thought that it was hilarious.

5 things you didn't know about Chris

1. When I walk up stairs behind someone I have to walk on the same steps with the same foot as them, if I don't like them, then I walk opposite. If I start up the stairs on my own, and start with my left foot, I need to end on my right foot at the top/bottom. If I see that that would not be the case I may even skip a step to make sure I do.
2. I can pop all of my knuckles in my hands to any song you choose
3. I AM fat.....really.
4. I can't draw anything unless it is straight lines (cabinet drawings,houses etc...) I tried to draw Cindy once, and well, she didn't like it. I didn't dare draw Jamie.
5. I have used the same brand of shampoo since 1991 (Pert)

This was Deacons first brush with death by Rice cereal. In other words, I don't really think he liked it. If that is the case, uh-oh. He has been getting hungrier by the day, and if he doesn't like the solids, I am in trouble. He didn't cry or gag, but he wouldn't really open his mouth for more. We shall see what happens next...

The Most Amazing Smile

I cannot get over how absolutely wonderful my baby boy is. He has the sweetest smile and the best little personality. And his giggle is to die for. This picture is proof positive that he is beautiful!!

Caleb and Dad's first snow hike

Caleb and I went on our first snow hike up Logan Canyon. Caleb was going with his Boy Scout troop, and I tagged along. The trail was about 12" wide and as you can see from the picture, the snow was pretty deep on the sides.

Okay, Top 7 That Cindy Doesn't Already Know

The title should say it all.

#1 A couple times I had dreams where I kissed another girl, and I wake up freaking out and saying does this mean I am a little bit gay. Have to share the deep stuff to impress Cindy Barth, otherwise no one would ever know this. PS. Does this happen to anyone else?? Please say yes.

#2 My first kiss was between me, a boy named Brian, and a Jolly Rancher, which he passed to me, and I was totally grossed out. And I had to kiss him because I liked him and he broke up with me the first time because I wouldn't kiss him. But he dumped me again a couple days after that kiss anyway.

#3 I got caught forging a note to get out of school early, and my mom asked me about it at dinner during which I couldn't utter a single word. I just sat there staring at my mom with my mouth open.

#4 I like to write and have a few kids books and poems I would love to get published, but don't ask to see them because unless they are good enough to publish, nobody is going to see them.

#5 I have probably spit drinks out my mouth and some out my nose more than anyone I know from all the hilarious dinners we had when we were living at home as kids.

#6 I have a secret desire to be on Wheel of Fortune because I know for a fact that I would win.

#7 When I was a young single girl, I used to look at license plates to see what my last name would be when I got married. My initials before I ever got married were JLB for Jamie Lynn Barth and I would look at all the license plates because where I lived there was a number, then three letters, then three more numbers. I always looked for the JL and whatever was the third letter would be the initial of my last name when I got married. Pretty dumb, but I used to look for little signs in everything.

The Top Seven According To Me...

#7 Saturday is a Special Day, it's the day I get ready to.....sleep in. Cindy thinks I am inactive because I have only been to church once this year. But to my defense, my kids have been sick and so have I. But if you all are willing to do services projects to reactivate me, I like BBW, any kind of dessert, a clean house, etc... OK, only kidding!


#6 I have been married three times. Yep, crazy I know, but you just can't trust people like you used to, right?! ps. my second wedding was in Reno @ the Chapel of the Bells. I should have known.

So...Jamie was the first to post, so now i guess it is my turn. I posted a picture of Delany we took the other day. I was in my office and Jamie was in her room, and she IM'd me asking if Delaney was with me, and I said "no...I thought she was with you", and that picture is where we found her while watching My Little Pony.
I love being a dad...how great is it huh?

This is my first blogging sentence ever. Ta-Da!! So welcome to our crazy world, where we try to stay sane, at the house of Balls.

I am Jamie, leader of the pack. At least I like to think so. Chris is on occasion my better half, and between the two of us we have our 3 kids, Caleb, Delaney, and Deacon. Caleb is 11 and is a very energetic almost teen! Delaney is our girly girl and loves to give hugs and kisses. She is almost three. Deacon happens to be the most handsome baby boy in the world. Don't be too jealous, we are all blessed in different ways.
